Leave it up to them?

You hear on the news, and you see on the tele,
All the problems of the earth,
Perhaps to you that's all it is,
But to me it was heart-breaking from birth.

And all I can do is watch and listen,
And I can't do nowt to help,
I can't declare peace or give food in a famine,
I can just sit and watch the world melt.

Earth will be ruined in generations to come,
Think what we're leaving to beloveds,
And when my children ask what I did to help,
I'll say 'I did nowt, sorry kids'

'I just sat back and watched the world fall apart,
And I'll leave the rest to you,
When the world could be saved, we couldn't be bothered,
So let's see what you can do'.
