My walk through life

 

I've journeyed place to place,
Travelled all my life.
I've been through fright and anger,
Disappointment and also strife.

Even though these places have upset me,
They've strengthened me and taught me
The places that have given me joy,
Should be valued all the more.

I've had many hearts broken,
Many paths of mine destroyed,
But still I wander on and on,
Through places I've never been.

I've caught the train of love,
Sailed the ship of bereavement,
But I'm still young and will travel on,
To my destination far away.

And every day I learn new things,
'Bout the hurdles along my way,
And so I stroll on, and on and on,
Through places new to each day.
