Pointless arguments over such tiny things,
If only people were more forgiving.
Ten months on and still few words,
Maybe a smile is all it will take.
Fancies pass from one to another,
Denial about true feelings.
Lacking confidence to share with others,
As time ticks on.
A new millenium to start afresh,
But memories still undiminished
Of all that has gone before
Even though it's water under the bridge.
New situations arise as the days get longer,
One night I learn the secret,
Burning in a heart close to mine,
Overflowing with platonic love.
Now perhaps I have found the light,
We can lead each other to happier times.
But more untold secrets are revealed,
And true feelings are confused.
So much pain and suffereing,
Broken hearts for so many.
Is the end of the long tunnel close,
For all those close to me?
