CRAZY
A long time ago ten years or so
My world just fell apart
I remember you standing proud and tall
Fixing your hair in the mirror.
My eyes averted down to the ground,
You looking good wasn’t for me it was for she
And I tried not to let the tears slide down my face
I didn’t want you to see
I said goodbye ‘n’ have a nice night
You replied “I will, you’ll be alright’
The door shut – deep breaths I gasped
Our son was in the TV world
Oblivious to it all.
My lord you speak in many ways
An advert belted out the words it rang like songs of praise
It was by Patsy Cline
Crazy for thinking that my love could hold you
I’m crazy for trying
I’m crazy for crying
And I’m crazy for loving you.
