Tracks

Overlooking the tracks
I knew I was nearly there
a few more seconds of despair

I'd chosen my way, it had to be that day
to end up with the tracks

I could have drowned in sorrow
but for that I'd need to borrow
the emotion you claim to have
that so destroyed my path
to happiness

It's all over now as I stare at the tracks
waiting to catch the train to hell
but that's just the price you pay
and I haven't got all day
So say goodbye

I had the life, now it's all turned around
and so there's the strife and now it's all around.

So here's the peace I've been searching for
The tracks and I are here for one last song
and dance
before I turn around and runaway
to die another day
I couldn't have had it any other way
