colours of you
quiet - a purple hush brings wool
to swab the blood from my bleeding mind
then to dress and allow healing time
to close the wounds for which I pine
to rebuild the tissues of a life of ill
and cleanse the poison that brings the chill
warmth - an orange blanket soft to touch
to melt the ice from my frozen dreams
then to cuddle a while before the fire
and to stem the flow of tears streams
to thaw and bring to loveless me
the colours again that I might see
you - a bright and so vibrant rainbow
to light my way with many a sign
to bridge all of my troubled waters
and whisper wonderful that you are mine
to a drowning man you throw out a rope
and now you hold my hands my heart my hope
