floating

To look around and see a host of strange faces
no recognition nor acknowledgement
oh lonely me
to seize the moment and utter a word or two
and realise that nobody listens to people outside the crowd
and to float

to follow the ebb and flow
carried
jetsam of normality
flotsam from a life torn apart
to be swallowed by the great white apathy
to be spit out

And thence to sink
untraceable
an atlantis of this time
glorious once
forgotten
