Picture Perfect
Floated across my own-minds eyes,
she's picture perfect my baby to me ..
in dreams of pre-dreams of when she lies ..
next to my body and we are symmetry.
Draped across .. my body in love,
she holds my soul in her perfect smile ..
gently wrapped in her cotton-wool warmth ..
moments linger .. defer mile after mile.
Tomorrow forgotten and given to doubt,
she teaches today and I believe in the night ..
of wonderful music made in her truth ..
of newly formed colours drawn from her light.
And time stops for a few precious moments,
as she smiles .. mind and body implode ..
sadness at last tinged with wonder of when ..
next we meet and of the pasts that flowed.
