30 July 00: So I had a bit of a problem with the cycling.
I was using my son Lee's bike whilst I decided whether or not this was just
a phase I was going through! ... anyway, whilst riding home the other day, imagine
my surprise when the front wheel accelerated away from the bike and hit the
kerb moments before I did!! On getting home (bruised and battered) Lee's only
comment was, "Oh, did I forget to tell you about the wheel??" So now
I have bought myself a new bike, and I love all the little luxuries like brakes,
gears and wheel nuts!!
Anyway. New on the site are: more jokes, new illusions, new true stories, more
weird pictures, another couple of poems of mine and a new top-ten.

12 July 00: Still cycling to work!! Now there's a surprise
... where's it all gonna end. Roadkill maybe?
Anyway, it's late and I'm tired ... I've sent loadsa stuff out on e-mail lately
so there's only so much new stuff on the site, it tends to work in phases. (If
you're not getting the e-mails then drop me a line and I'll add you to my lists).

01 July 00: Well, I seem to be suffering from some weird
affliction! First the fun-run, and now I find myself cycling everywhere! What's
going on? ... Next thing ya know I'll be giving up drinking and smoking ...
errr .... well maybe not!
New stuff on the site today and yesterday:
I put some new optical illusions on, in the weird section .. two new poems from
me, and two from Janine ... loads more jokey stuff, including cartoons and 'battle
of the sexes' stuff, and 2 new top tens ( both of which are actually funny!
).
still no pics from Anthony, but he's camping this weekend
with Matty, Pete, Sam and the rest, so I'll wait until Monday before I beat
him up! ... Enjoy ...
14 June 00: Still no news on the re-scanned
scout photos!! What is occurring ... I took the photo's, I paid to have them
developed, they were in my possession for about 3 minutes and then for the last
2 months Ant has had them! (Do ya think he's lost them?)
What's new you ask? ... we have a weird test (this did the rounds a while ago,
but it's still clever), a new poem by Laws in the guest section, some new jokes
... and errr .... some other stuff as well! I put some stuff on most days, but
I only write the news occasionally, by which time I've forgotten what I posted
last week ... it's kinda sad really ... ... sorry, what was I talking about?
05 June 00: okay, so it's early morning ... but you have
to take a look at the weird picture I just posted (thank's Alan) .. oh, and
there's a new poem by me ... 'what's it about?' answers on a postcard to the
normal address and win absolutely nothing!
And one more gift for those that actually read these 'news'
things; I mentioned to a special friend a while ago about a short story I wrote
that was kinda rude ... anyhow, this is it! IRC Dreams ... IRC is 'Internet
Relay Chat' ... a kind of chat room place .. instant messenger, or ICQ, but
these are permanent rooms where you pop in and type with friends.
Lastly, it looks like the 'peterfiles' may be finished for good ... seems that
matty and pete are gonna do their own web-site!! ... we shall wait and see,
if it happens I'll link to it and mention it here.
03 June 00: I wonder how long this little fad of updating
the news is gonna last me!? ... I seem to be getting more and more regular,
which is not like me at all ... we shall see. First off an update on the saga
of the camp photos ,,, today a host of photos arrived in my intray, eagerly
I saved them to a folder and loaded up Paint Shop Pro ... and ,,, who are these
mishapen, blurry images? ... so back on the phone to Ant ... "er, Ant mate
... the pics are crap!!" sorry he says, and now he's playing on my guilt
.. he was gonna revise for an exam tomorrow but instead he'll re-scan the photos
... yeah right!
Loadsa new stuff today: Poems by a new friend 'Jennifer' and an excellent new
piece from Sammy. More jokes and cartoons, I especially liked the translations
for 'secret man-talk'. A pic by the name of 'Bad Hair Day' (to commemorate Lee's
new look!), a new feature in the dreams section for couples, and a new religious
piece for the Den.
Coming soon is a new game called 'Bates Towers' by me and
Ammy .. if we ever find the time to finish it!
01June 00: well, you are not gonna believe this, but Ant
still hasn't scanned in the pics from the previous camp! Although to be fair
he couldn't even get into his own house last night, and had to sleep at mine
.. so I suppose we should make allowances!
Weekend camp was good ... weather better than expected, and
nobody fell off any of the mountains .. so I guess we call that a success. For
anyone in England wishing to find an excellent pub with a great landlord ..
I can recommend 'The Feathers' at Llanyrtyd (is that spelled correctly?) ..
The Landlord, Martin made us very welcome (bought me a pint!) .. came out and
played guitar while we had a sing-song.
Sammy became the bar-maid!!! and to be fair was bloody good at it! ( she actually
poured me the best pint of the weekend .. sorry Martin). We played pool and
darts and danced ... Nick played the 'Eastenders' theme backwards .. well he
faced away from the piano ... and then accompaniied various action songs nearly
successfully ... Sammy's Dad .. Mark ... seemed a little bemused to start with,
but soon joined in the fun ... Daddy Wowe I mean.
Oh and we did some walking and stuff also.
Well done to all those that reached the tops!

23 May 00: Dates seemed like a good idea in here!
New stuff: 3 new poems, one of which I think is really good for me .. a new
guest poem by janine. Some new jokey type stuff ... including an insults page
that I would like to expand and an addition to the 'differences between the
sexes' which started with the toilet page.
I'm off to the Brecon Beacons on Friday through 'till' Monday - with my Scout
Group and a host of friends, Lee is coming away for the first time in a while,
and Dean will naturally be the youngest member of the party. Sammy and Nick
will do their first camp as an official couple, Pete and Anne-Marie can carry
me back from the pub after I have given my usual flawless pool demonstration.
There may be pictures available on the Scout site (but my main scanner-man Ant
is getting kinda slack just lately so don't hold your breath)
Okay, so here we are again .. and what's new you ask ...
well, I'm still waiting for the last camp photos back from
Ant (my expert scanner ... see, the site has staff now <obviously I don't
pay him .. but he get's to see his name here!>). I have a new poem that's
got some very good reviews ... and I put up some more jokes, but then if you're
on my mailing lists you already have those (if you're not on the lists then
ask!). Other than that ... not a lot, I seem to be running low on freetime just
lately <must be my new girlfriend> ....
So I just placed the final peterfiles .. coz pete's gone and got all adult on me. That is so tragic ... but then i still love the guy even though he's now older than i am!! ammy .. see more charm, more style and younger (you were right all along - soz pete)

okay, so it's actually only my news and specifically the news about this site.
well if you're a regular visitor you will notice that i have completely changed the navigation of the site, moving stuff around so as to be easier to find and also easier for me to update and add to. my primary problem was with the den, which was becoming a dumping ground for anything that didn't seem to fit elsewhere ... so i put in a humour section and split that into 3 sub-sections and now i have room for expansion! i have decided to keep all the content for the time-being, as i am getting more and more new visitors and i get positive comments on stuff i put up a year ago ... but i will eventually get around to pruning away the 'dead wood'. The major changes have meant rehashing all the links, and i have almost certainly missed a couple .. if you find any dead ends on the site please drop me an e-mail about it.
