and over a year! that's quite a record in slackness and such. have actually updated the site on occasion, just never really got around to typing up any news. like i say ... slack! anyways .. just added the pics i took from a little drunken and very wet weekend in a caravan in devon .. man! was it wet! pics are in the den.

May 19th 2007

Well ... moderately dull night. Matty came down Wednesday (got a course in London) and stayed over, which is all very nice ... we played zombies on the Wednesday night and did the quiz at the Craven last night. Then it's Friday and I head up the motorway to get Dean, whilst B heads down to visit. Me and Dean get back and what do ya know ... Matty, Lee, Pete and Ant are all in town straight from work! Ammy, Shelle and B decide to join them ... not a problem, cos me and Dean can have a laff ... and then he's asleep before 11! It's half 12 now and frankly i'm bored ..hey ho ... just thought everyone should know. Still ... planning on sleeping late tomoz and then (if we can get a court) badminton ... apparently Matty's feeling a bit rusty and needs a confidence booster. So I'll put the scores up here if I win .. otherwise you'll have to check them out on Matty's site:)

May 8th 2007
Hey up ... it's a Tuesday and feels like a Monday (was bank holiday yesterday) and Ammy's gone for a curry from work ... hence the update. So .. weekend was kinda fun, Matty came down and bought B and Dean with him. Saved me a lot of time going up and down the motorway and saved me a lot of petrol money to boot (although Matty managed to spend a fortune of mine on chocolate and real ale - but hey! who's counting). Went out for a walk around Kennilworth on the Saturday and invented a new game at Abbey Fields (full contact 'frisball') which is probably why I now have a very nasty bad back ... getting old I guess ... sigh. Anyway, put some pics on here so take a look. Sunday we went to Bishops games (a great shop) and bought amongst others; 'munchkin' and 'killer bunnies' .. both of which we played and both very good! So .. all in all an excellent weekend except for the bad back Matty gave me ... hey ho. Loadsa new stuff on the site including a new story in the Den, search it out ....

April 28th 2007
So .. how wrong was I? Actually only updating after she's got back (she's at the city match naturally). Blimey, must have put up definitions for dozens of names today, and still a load of requests that I haven't done yet, will have to see how much time I have left before I have to disappear to a BBQ at the in-laws. Put quite a few other things on the site too though, the major new feature being a movies section. Figured that seeing as I have unlimited space on the site I may as well use some of it:). Only putting my favourites on though, and if you're on my mailing list you've probably already seen them, and if you're not on my mailing list, then why not!?
And now I think I'll do a bit more .... laters.

April 23rd 2007

Okay Matty? Just put the link to your site on the front page, happy now? (He sure can nag!) So here we are again then with Ammy off abroad being scientific and poor me all on my lonesome. Still it does mean that the site will be updated over the next few days (she's back on Friday) so I suppose that's something. But more on that later in the week.

March 5th 2007
Hey up ... just thought I'd mention that I've put some new stuff up on the site, not to mention that I've fixed a lot of faulty links. (If anyone spots any problems with the site can they please drop me a line <it's getting too big to check regularly>). I particularly liked the Health and Safety thing in the Fun/Pictures section:)

February 24th 2007
Blimey it's been like months. Only realised it had been so long the other day when Matty mentioned that the sites last update was October. hey ho ... have put a few things on this week anyhow, including another priceless and some more of those amazing chalk drawings. Oh and of course a load of name definitions from all the requests in my in-box. have also been playing a bit on myspace, so go look me up (or follow the link from the tummyfluff index page). next on the agenda for the site is to get a working counter again, very annoying that the old one disappeared!

September 28th 2006
so ... been updating the site on a regular basis, but not so much the news. Anyhow, the kitchen is nearing completion and yeah i know it's taken ages, but i'm kinda on a project at work and finding it difficult to get any time off. then last weekend it was Dean's birthday (15) and the weekend before it was Dean's gig ... went and saw him play and sing in Wakefield and he sure has some talent! put a couple of pics in the Album (in the den). And now it's getting late so any other news will have to wait. tata.

September 4th 2006

It's been a long week this week! But another hour and I'm off to East Mids Airport to pick up Ammy. Flight comes in at 01:30 and I've just checked and it's still on time! Anyhow, between phaffing with the kitchen and paid work I've put quite a lot of new stuff on the site over the last few days, in Fun, Puzzles, Games and the Den .. so check it out and lemme know what you think (otherwise I may stop again ...)

September 3rd 2006
Another day another update ... spooky! But Ammy's back tomoz so i won't have so much free time. Still, the kitchen floor is finally up and i've started putting units together. And the instruction sheets! not only are they actually incorrect in places, but you only get one sheet for each type of unit and the same sheet covers up to a dozen different models, and nowhere does it say which one is mine!! The air has been a tad blue today at times. Oh ... put a few new illusions on today, ( amongst other stuff),, including one i particularly liked .. enjoy:)

September 2nd 2006
And back again! added a few bits to the site, and put up a couple of wedding pics.
Don't dare put any more up just yet cos Ammy is currently in Majorca and obviously I'll need editorial approval of which one's are suitable to share. Gonna put some more local news on at a later date cos I've been trying to get the kitchen floor up all day and I'm kinda tired right now.

September 1st 2006
Happy days, back on-line and updating over broadband. And the site's on the right computer now which is a distinct bonus! Loadsa news but it's kinda late now so will hopefully bang some stuff on tomorrow. Do wanna say though that me and Ammy got married, yeah! And spookily we're still incredibly happy! later ......

September 24th 2005
Happy Brithday Dean ... he's 14 today.
Just a quickie to prove that I'm updating regularly, aside from all the additions on the various 'names' pages there are a couple of new items in the humour section that are well worth checking out. Later.

September 17th 2005
Okay ... from now on there's gonna be regular updates again (where have we seen that before!). But seriously, I downloaded my home e-mail for the first time in several months and was amazed at how many e-mails were generated from tummyfluff. So now I feel guilty and I am currently in the process of replying and updating as per all the requests. Admittedly most of the e-mails I got were requests for names to be added to the 'meaning of names section' and that's gonna take a while, but hey. Anyways new on the site is stuff in the fun section, the news section (fact files - above), oh and I've split the names page in two, one for boys and one for girls. More soon, watch this space!

June 22nd 2005

Well … talk about slacking! Don't seem to get the time these days to update the site, but I will try harder. Writing this in the garden cos it's a beautiful day and that's just one of the benefits of having a wireless network at homeJ
So .. what's been happening. Well, I suppose the biggest thing was Matty and Berniece's wedding. Yep, Matty's an old married man now. Wedding was super, (even the service wasn't too boring - surprisingly). The bride looked stunning, Matty looked handsome (as did all the Broomhall's - naturally). And the reception at Sheffield ski village was a blast. And if I ever get sent any pictures I'll put some on the site (job for Matty and anyone else who was there wiv a digital camera). The stag-weekend was also excellent! Obviously loadsa beer on Friday and Saturday and then a planning disaster in getting up early to go paint-balling. But luckily paintballing is an excellent (and very quick) method of sobering up and I absolutely loved it. (and of course I was brilliant at it!)
The other big news is that me and Ammy are engaged -yeah. Hopefully going down next week to set a date, we've been together 5 and ½ years now so it's been a while coming. Anyway, I'm a wonderful bloke and she's very happy to have trapped me (only joking!). Gonna breeze past a few of the other things that have happened. We did actually go to Barcelona and had a great time, primarily down to the company we went with (Michelle, Mick, Holly, Nick).
Said goodbye to Nick at the weekend, he's off to Malaga and then he's gonna go live in Paris. So we reckon a weekend Paris city break is definitely on the cards later in the year, although Ammy thinks we should let him find somewhere to live before we arrange the dates. We also got to have a play on Matty's new trampoline that he's got in the several acres of garden that came with his cottage. (Matty's a bit depressed about the trampoline cos the kid next door is so much better on it than he is)
Next big beer-fest should be Lee's 21st .. which is rapidly approaching and I'm pretty sure will be a riot!
There's loads of other stuff been going on … but this is dragging, so, until next time - bye!

24th March 2005
Just updated a few bits on the site, and not just the 'meaning of names' (I get at least one request a day for a new name definition). Put a few things in the fun section ... and also added a new illusion .. so go take a look. We're off to Barcelona on Sunday, so if I don't get on to update in the next couple of days then expect the next news to be a Barca-travel-guide:)

13th March 2005
Well we went to Cork and had an excellent few days. Visited Blarney Castle and i got to kiss the blarney stone (which involved leaning backwards over a very steep drop), the castle grounds were very pretty and will probably be even moreso come the spring. The other 2 days we went West and then East along the coast. The scenery was tremendous, and we spent a lot of time being anoraks birdwatching. Wrapped up very warmly we walked deserted beaches, dodging the waves and just generally relaxing, it was wonderful. Cork is a fairly quiet city, but we had some good nights out. Caught a band on the first night, and was so impressed we saw them again on the last night! Celtic Ninja Construction www.celticninja.com they played a mix of indie and folksy music and it was very good, particularly their own stuff. We got chatting to the band (nice blokes) and it was they who recommended the coastal tours.
Not much else to mention this time other than the fact that I played pool with Lee on friday and 7-balled his ass!!

23rd February 2005
And it's freezing, snowing outside and not much warmer in here! Not too much to say, just wanted to suggest you might like the new illusion Lee sent me ... here. Not to mention a few new things in the fun section and the games sections - enjoy. Next entry on here should hopefully be a travel-guide to Cork.

12th February 2005
Well ... the top-ten idea in the last entry never took off. But I figure if I post one of my own the Matty and Pete will be forced to send theirs in just to show me 'the error of my ways'. Suppose I ought to review the Athlete gig ... well ... it was kinda dull actually. Technically no problems, but the new stuff sounds like the old stuff, and it all sounds a little bit like 'lift music'. Next gig we have booked is 'I am Kloot' in Brum, should be good! Booked up to go to Barcelona at Easter, there's a few of us going and it should be a laugh. Anyone been there who wants to share tourist ideas then drop me a line. Hopefully we're gonna book to go to Cork at the end of this month, just me and ammy and that'll be a nice break. The flights are advertised at 49p each way from Cov ... how cheap is that! New stuff is all in the fun section ...

14th January 2005
Not sure if I'll get to post this tonight ... but never mind. New stuff on the site is; pics in the Den and a new diary entry from Matty. Forthcoming attractions ... well, we have decided to put a top ten list of indie songs on the site. The idea is that you e-mail me your top ten. I award points from 10 for first choice to 1 for 10th choice and then grade them in a table along with everybody elses choices. If this works we may try the same thing for 'all time top 10 records' and maybe 'all time top 10 films'.
Me and Ammy are off to Sheffield tomorrow, gonna go see 'National Treasure' at the cinema with Dean and then see 'Athlete' at the Leadmill on the night. Looking forward to it ... should be good!. - Later ...

3rd January 2005
Happy New Year everyone and apologies yet again for the long break in the news. Was very busy on the run up to Xmas and then had too much fun over the holidays to mess around with the site. Only cleared my e-mail today for the first time in weeks so all those on the jokes list will have had nothing from me until today. Ammy's off at the football at the moment, it's half-time and Cov are a goal down to Leeds ... no surprise there then ... but fingers crossed for a better second-half. Had a great Xmas, Dean came down for two and a half weeks which was great! I got to do the whole family thing on Xmas morning with Me, Ammy, Lee and Dean all taking turns opening pressies (although Dean did get a lot more turns than anyone else:)) Got some nice pressies, loadsa DVDs and books and games (me and Am like games:). Had a few parties and we had a few games nights .. we also did a couple of nights over in Daventry with my parents which was cool if a little exhausting! Matt and Berniece came down for a few days, so that was nice. Dean was crowned Friends Trivia Champion which upset Lee, but fairs fair ... Dean kicked ass! New years went off wiv a bang so thanx to all those attending, although I don't think I saw a digital camera so there probably won't be any incriminating pics on the site (but I could easily be wrong), as is usual for recent parties it overflowed into the street in the early hours with Matty organising games. (At least no-one resurrected the Lamp-post game, cos that was scary last time).
New stuff on the site in the games and humour sections ... so enjoy!!

17th November 2004
Just like buses hey? Anyway, Am's at her parents so killing time til I pick her up and we come back and watch the England - Spain game. (Gonna put it up on the projector and then watch it big-screen with some beers) ... New new stuff on the site is in the Fun/Pics and the Priceless sections ... enjoy!

15th November 2004
Now that's like the slackest ever ... 3 months since the last update. So, what's been happening? Well Ammy is settled in at Birmingham Uni doing something with computer modeling of helioseismology (kinda waves in the sun). Seem like a nice bunch she's working with but the uni leaves a bit to be desired on the bar front. I reckon we were spoiled with Bar One in Sheffield cos the Birmingham union bar is pokey, dingy, and dirty. Hey ho. I'm still working too hard and for not enough money. Lee is now virtual build manager (i think it means that he virtually works but not quite) in a company that sorts cell sites for O2. And we 3 still live in the same house in Sir Thomas Whites Rd. Michelle has moved out after her and Lee split up, which is a shame cos she was nice.
Matty is some sort of project manager up in Sheffield and is finally earning some proper money. He and Berneice are getting married in April! Big news that one! Maybe that explains why we haven't seen any more episodes of his diary? Although there is no excuse for Peter not sending in any material (although he does appear to have moved half the population of yarmouth into his house including his parents).
There's some new stuff on the site, check out the pictures section ... the 'passed out' collections could easily have come from one of our parties ... and I put a new pic of me and Ammy in the gallery. I'd like to say that the next update won't be as long coming, but there's no guarantees:)

21st August 2004
Just dropped Ammy off at the football so I've got an hour to kill before I have to get there for another nerve wracking City game. It was birthday weekend last week, and everything was kinda fun.went out Friday night and had a party on the Saturday. The party seemed a success and everyone hopefully had fun, included in the nights games was the impromptu lampost climbing event won by Pete and the street cricket game (match abandoned). Loadsa booze was consumed amidst some very amusing drinking games and the only downside to the night was Pete and Matty destroying the front door. Took some amusing pics on the night and will hopefully post a few on here next week. New on the site is the next installment in Matty's diary, a great new game, plus some other stuff scattered across the site that you can go look for. Until next time. xxx

4th August 2004
Been slack again, really must try harder. Before we go off and mention new stuff we'll quickly do a review of The Divine Comedy gig we went to at the Leadmill back in June. As expected they were absolutely incredible, kicked off the night with a bizarre cover that momentarily escapes me and finished on Tonight we fly. In between were nearly 2 hours of sheer aural delight. Ok, so Neil had forgotten some of the words to some of his older songs, but he sang them anyway with the audiences help and seemed to really enjoy the night. Pretty sure he over ran, which would explain the lack of encore. One of the best gigs i've ever been to.
We had to rush back because Ammy had an exam the following morning but Matty and Bernie got to stay behind and chat to the group and to Neil. He couldn't even wait to get home to tell me, he texted me on the way.
Brings me on to uni. Ammy's now graduated and is living full-time with me now .... yeah! So no more commuting up and down the bloody M1 (except of course to pick up and take back Dean, heyho). Matty's also graduated, but is still living in Sheffield, Nick's graduated but going back to Sheffield and to all you others that have graduated congratulations.
Shalln't bother with the rest, if you really want to know anything then e-mail me.
There's loadsa new stuff on the site but i only want to mention a couple, first off could you use this toilet
? And secondly i have to mention Matty's new thing called Dear Diary, this is his breakaway attempt from the peterfiles, I wonder what Pete's response will be. Anyway I've put the first two days up (don't tell Matty but I've lost days 3 and 4) more to follow soon. The end for now.

9th June 2004
Thought I ought to write a little something cos it's been a while. Have been updating the site regularly, just not the news section, hey-ho. There's quite a lot of new stuff up, u might wanna check for new pics or new puzzles for instance ... on the personal front ... been a bit busy recently at work, but that's not very interesting.
Euro next week which just happens to coincide wiv Ammy moving in ... yeah! About time:) She has her last exam Friday after which there will no doubt be a weekend of debauchery (one would hope), and we're gonna see The Divine Comedy tomorrow night at the Leadmil, should be groovy, expect a review shortly. And that'll have to do for now. When Ammy moves in we'll try and make it a regular update service (she types 3 times faster than me).

26th April 2004
Hey up! Can't be arsed to write too much real news, but just wanted to mention that there's some new stuff on the site, a few more priceless pics, another fun pic, and some new insults amongst other stuff. The site has been getting quite a lot of traffic recently, and I'm getting loads of e-mails on the puzzle section. But mostly I'm getting e-mails asking for names to be added to the 'meaning of names' page, which is kinda bizarre, it's like writing me and asking me to publish a personal insult for you. People sure are strange .. anyways, I'm bored, cos Ammy is back in Sheffield first day after Easter ... it's gonna be a long couple of days ...

29th March 2004
mmmm ... bit slow wiv this again. hey ho. And the next gig review is Simple Kid!
Saw him at a small venue called the Fez club, we'd never been here before and so had no idea what to expect (it's definitely on our list of places to return to). The stage was set across one of the lounge areas, and all the other loungy type areas were curtained off so it's difficult to know how big the place is. We picked a kinda balcony area adjacent to the stage, had a great view! The rest of the place consisted of a few tables and lots of candles giving the place a kind of jazz club feel. Which was appropriate given that the support was very nearly a jazz act .. a bloke on guitar and a lady on sax .. very accomplished, but a tad boring towards the end. Then came simple kid ... on drums to start and then switching to guitar and harmonica, I really do like this guys music, and having seen him twice now I reckon he's amazing live! The talent, yeah sure, but more than that it's the variety of what you get both in his songs and in his presentation. He had two guys playing saws for most of his set and later on he accompanied a computer generated talking baby head. Loved it! Bizarre and brilliant need I say more.
Of course, that was last week, and there's been a few beers flowed since then. Amazingly, some of them flowed at 'Pop Tarts' on Saturday night! Not our usual scene, but it was a birthday do, so we felt obliged .. and it wasn't even the worst place we went on the night, because Vodka Revolution earns itself that dubious accolade ... a really bloody awful bar ... think Lloyds only bigger, more towny, and more crowded. Pop Tarts wasn't 'too' bad I suppose, at least the company was good, and we did go in with a slightly pissed 'oh let's enjoy it anyway' attitude.
The major non-booze-related recent news is that Ammy got herself a PHD placement at Birmingham. This was the one she liked best, and the one that was closest to her chosen field so a big 'well done' baby! It also means that as of June we are officially living full-time together ... YEAH! And given that she comes back for easter for 3 weeks this friday then I reckon we're on the 'home stretch' after 4 years of commuting. I'll will miss sheffield a bit, but we can still visit because Nick and Matty will still be up there.
This is turning into quite a marathon missive, so I'm gonna leave it there, and be back soon:)

8th March 2004
Hiya all ... Went to the Ash concert last Thursday ... they were bloody marvelous! The Leadmill is such a great venue for bands it's untrue! And when the band is Ash and they're really up for it it's an incredible experience. They started with 'Girl from Mars' and finished with 'Burn baby burn' and the 80 minutes in between were none stop magic. New album out soon, and they played a lot of that along with all their classic. When you see it, buy it .. if you liked the old stuff you'll love the new stuff.
Next gig up is Simple Kid on the 22nd of March. This is the guy I raved about back in October when he supported 'The Thrills' and outperformed them! Seeing him at Fez Club in Sheffield and it should be good!
There's new stuff on the site including some more photos in the 'Album' and a new 'Peterfiles' from Pete (lagging behind Matty ...) .... and that'll do for now, tata.

12th February 2004
Not going to say a lot, but there are a few new things on the site including a new Java game that Pete sent me, so let me have your high scores. All I really wanted to do was brag about the fact that Ammy managed to get the last two tickets to see Ash at the leadmill!!!! And it's in March, so we ain't got long to wait ... clever baby:)

29th January 2004
Figured it was about time I put something up on the site ... so wel
come back! Xmas was a blast, but it was so long ago that I can't be bothered writing all that happened. I have put some pics up though, just a few, in the album. It feels kinda strange at the moment, cos Ammy is up in Sheffield for the first time this year, and the house feels kinda empty. Still, I suppose I'll live and anyway, she's back tomoz ... we're supposed to be going out tomorrow night to the cross with Nick and his new girlfriend (name escapes me soz) and anyone else who's up for it. There's quite a lot of new stuff on the site ... go look for it! And that'll do for now cos I wanna do a bit more work work!

10th December 2003
Hiya, and Xmas is getting closer and closer and I have got next to no chrissie presents for anybody yet! Not even for Ammy (anyone have any suggestions of what she might like)? ... hmmm. Went to the Hicks Xmas bash at Bar Matrix last night and quite enjoyed it. Better than I expected it to be, with loadsa beer, good company and a dance towards the end ... actually the dancing was kinda the best bit cos there was room to maneuver so I could mess about a bit! Anyways I have a photo in the album of the previous party (astrosoc party a while ago) and I'm being quite brave because Ammy hasn't okayed me to put it up. Thank's for sending it Deb, you can see it here!
There is some other new stuff on the site, including a new peterfiles from Matty, which everyone has to go look at (cos Matty sez) and then everyone should write to Matty and tell him that I don't advertise peterfiles enough (cos Matty sez). And I guess that'll do ...

3rd December 2003
Hey up ... bit tardy on the updates again ... must try harder!
Went and saw 'The Coral' on Sunday at Birmingham academy, and as you would expect they are an excellent live band! Played all their hits and a couple from the album due in January, all of it flawless. Some innovate gimmicks too, I particularly liked that they didn't go off stage before coming back for the expected encore. They just announced the last song and then played a jingle that repeated over and over "more ... more ... more ..."then played a couple more. Saved a lot of faffing around. The support was mixed, with the first group being quite rocky and quite bad (have no idea what they were called). The second support (the mountaineers) was actually quite good, and reminded me a bit of early manics (maybe partly due to the lead singer looking like him). Not my favourite venue, because it's difficult to get a good view of the stage (Ammy struggled a bit), but at least we finally bought a shirt from a gig this year!!
Those in my address book will have seen a party invite in their mail recently for new-years, if you didn't get an invite then I don't have your address, so drop me a line and tell me that you wanna come as well, it should be fun!
There's some new stuff on the site, including a couple of new peterfiles so take a look.

6th November 2003
Another qui
ckie because I promised myself that I'd do paying work all night ... but I had to update a few names in the fun section, and I had something new for the Den so I put that up to. So take a look and I'll write some more stuff here soon.

30th October 2003
Okay, just a quicky, I never uploaded the files yesterday, and it's now early morning and I've spent most of the night playing with the site! The Priceless pics now have their own section (with another pic), which left more space in the Pictures section so I put up 2 new tattoo pages (excellent but rated 18). There's also a few new poems by me for those not on the mailing list (e-mail me if you want adding). That's it!!

29th October 2003
Hey up, well the news entries are coming thick and fast recently! I guess it's partly due to all the spare time I've got with Ammy being in Sheffield a couple of nights a week ... but this is the ONLY good thing about that! Just taking a break from work, for the second night in a row I'm working past 9pm, (now if only my boss would read these ... mmm, perhaps not) Had a moderately good weekend, on Saturday me, Am, Dean and Matty went swimming at Ponds Forge, and Matty had his first warning for bad behavior inside the first minute! But we had a good laugh, then Matty went back to Bernice and we went to see League of Extraordinary gentlemen, which was fun but not brilliant.
Went out on the night, but I won't say too much about that cos it was kinda crap ... not our fault, not Nick's fault, and not Michelle's fault ... nuff said! Sunday we were coupley (which is always good for me, but not very exciting to read about)
Monday night we saw 'Kill Bill' at the cinema in Cov ... awesome film, best I've seen all year. Pure Tarantino genius, blood, comedy, beauty and above all a cinematic flair that was truly breathtaking! I loved this movie ... better than Pulp Fiction!
New stuff on the site is in 'Fun' and 'Poetry', enjoy ... Ammy's back tomorrow ... yeah!! xxx

22nd October 2003
Put a few bits on the site, some more 'priceless' pics ... I love those (including replacing one I had down twice <thanks Ammy>), loadsa poetry from Nik and Maria, and some other stuff in the 'fun' section. Also changed the ad for the repairman's new single cos they got the date wrong (see news 16th Oct). Back in Cov tonight ... shalln't see ammy until bloody friday ... expect some more depressed poetry soon. But not tonight, gonna try for some sleep, I have a meeting early tomoz ... bye.

21st October 2003
Another day ... another concert review:)
Last night we went to 'The Thrills' gig at the Leadmill. First up were 'The ordinary boys', technically quite good, but a bit dull ... they played their rocky set quite well, but lacked personality and charisma, it was kinda like they knew the audience were there for the Thrills, so they just went through the motions. Then came 'Simple Kid', and this guy was awesome ... Quirky, Fun, Exciting, Smashing, Great, Super ... every song was different to the last and every song was genius, I'm gonna rush out to HMV and see if I can find an album or two ... loved it!!
Lastly, 'The Thrills' ... well the stage was all set up by 08:45, yet they kept us waiting until 09:15, which meant they only played 45 minutes ... which was a bit crappy ... The lead singer wants to be Jarvis cocker! He was trying for a carbon copy of Jarvis's stage presence, only he hadn't got the charisma to carry it off ... and what about that guitarist? Bored? or just out of his tree?? maybe that's why they were late on stage, trying to sober him up? They were alright, but they were nothing special, and I don't like the constant, pointless use of the F*** word just to try and shock the audience ... frankly not that impressed, they were nowhere near as good as 'Athlete', but then it was worth going just to see 'Simple Kid'. The other highlight of the night was my baby (and she's gonna hate this ... ) she looked stunning in a short sexy black skirt and indie badge top, worn with black BK trainers, only she could carry that off:)
Yet again the T-shirts were crap! What's that about? ... well, 'Simple kid's' T-shirts might have been okay, but they had sold out by the time I took a look. All the different styles of 'Thrills' shirts were dull and boring in dreary colours ... hey ho.
Bit of a gap now until the next gig ... and that'll be 'The coral' late November (unless we fit someone else in between ... maybe 'Shed 7', we'll see ... :)

16th October 2003
Evening all .. Thursday night and alone again (for the first time in a week) but Ammy's back tomoz so I dare say I'll survive. Should be a good weekend however, got a party Saturday night <family affair so I have to be fairly well behaved> and we're gonna see 'The Thrills' on Monday night, yeah!
Whereas last week we went to the 'Athlete' concert!! First up was 'Repairman' a two man group with an occasional trumpet player. These guys were really good, they rotate around the stage playing each others instruments <including lead guitar, bass guitar, keyboards, drums, vocals, etc> with a great style and enthusiasm. Husky slow rock indie is a description, but probably not quite right, anyway we thought they were awesome and the only thing we bought all night was their new CD (the single is in the shops from November 3rd, here's the advert). Not only that, but they hung around after all the sets and chatted ... nice blokes. Next to play were 'Alfie' and also good. The only problem being that the vocalist was so high we spent the whole of their set waiting for him to forget his lyrics ... but if he ever comes down we'll be hearing a lot of this group! And last up (of course) was 'Athlete', pretty damned good! I already knew I liked their music coz I have the Album, but they were terrific live and the lead singer has an immense stage presence and a lot of confidence ... it was a sing-along set and it was great. Stayed on for a bit of the club night after, but that was anti-climatic ... The Leadmill in Sheffield has to be my all-time favourite venue (and I've been to Wembley, NEC, et. al......).
Enough of that, new on the site are quite a few 'priceless' pics in the fun section and a some other stuff, but I forget where I put it .... bye!

7th October 2003
Hey up ... well, it's Tuesday night and Am is out on the town in Sheffield and I'm playing with my bloody web-site like a good little anorak, and yes I'm bored and yes I'm pissed off! The good news is I'll see her on Thursday for the Athlete gig <wat
ch this space for a review> ... the bad news is that it ain't Thursday yet! Hey ho. Had a good weekend just gone, went to Brighton Beach at city hall Sheffield ... excellent venue and a pretty good rocky club night! ! Matty was there <and you'll be pleased to know he's back dancing the way he used to> as was Berniece <they make a lovely couple> and as was Leon ... all round good guy:) ... Pete's turned up now, so I'm going off for a chat ... tata.

30th September 2003
Well hello, this is a bit of a novelty (Har ha). the roumers are true.... @I have taken over, I am king... the site is mine, mine i tell u@. Mark is no more... his corpse is hidden away in the deep dark depths of my burgen (Ruck sac {hyawge one at that, not often that I get to say that I've got a big package}). You should have seen it... defore his demise.. it was like that scene out of pulp fiction.. you know the one with the gimp... he was trust up like ya christmas turkey. any way i'm back back in cov. I got so pissed of with the lack of updates for peterfiles (Sent stuff... well url's with stuff) that I desided that it was time for direct action.. time for some one with a bit of skill when it comes to web design to take the reins. so there I am wine feeling relaxed arguing with Mrk(Yip it was just a sick joke.. lets face it how do you kill an omnipotent being {his head is goiung to swell like a puffer fish on heat}) about who would have first dibs on the cute little boy in jaws 2 (with a bit of a workover on his barnet). any way gunnna pass you over to the main man no. 2.-
Duh hu ... back 2 mark ...
so, spelling has always been kinda last in Pete's list of rules for writing ... and that should hopefully be the last appearance he makes in the 'news' section! ... More up-dates soon ... xxx

21st September 2003
Well ... long overdue on here! Been keeping the site updated fairly regular, but neglected the news, heyho. New stuff on the site all over the place, but be sure and check out the new games and let me know your best reflex time! In the humour se
ction I've put up a full list of all Bart Simpson's blackboard writings. Also, when you get a minute pop into the helpdesk and say hello.
Me and Ammy had a great time in Amsterdam, did all the cultural bits during the day, including the Van Gogh museum and then did all the party bits of a night, including the red-light district. Culminated our short break with a romantic candlelit canal trip ... beautiful and all the wine you could drink thrown in. All in all an excellent break, and we reckon 3 days is about right .. recommended.
I'm not gonna mention all of the stuff we've been up to since the last news, but I will mention last night in Sheffield. We went out with matty and his new girlfriend Berniece (did I spell that right?). Few games of pool in Broomhill then onto the globe in town and finally dancing at the leadmill. Phil came out as did Nick and Leon. Good night all round and we all thought Berniece was lovely.
Oh, and Pete, if you read this ... Matty says that if there isn't a peterfiles from you soon then he's gonna do a take over with a 'Daily Matt' column ... watch this space!

12th August 2003
So, birthday weekend been and gone ... went out Friday pubs and then on to the collie (what has happened to that place? bloody poppy crappy cheesy music ... what's that about??) Quite a few people turned out, so thanks everyone! Had a party on Saturday night, Matty came down from Sheffield and we had a pretty good time 'til about 4am, slight problem with a couple of local cheeky kids, but nothing that couldn't be solved with a full glass of water! Woke up Sunday by the police, apparently the word was that I had beaten up previously mentioned kids. Straightened that out and went out to the maudsley for lunch (quite impressed with the food! Had a quiet day, and finished up at the quiz night at the rectory. Monday was my actual birthday, so we hit town by 2 in the afternoon did lunch at varsity and then pub-crawled and shopped our way around town. The idea was to do pubs that I either had never been in or hadn't recently. Did quite a few, but I was remarkably sensible about my drinking and so managed to stay awake the whole time (actually the whole weekend .... something of a record for me). Other people joined in the proceedings during the course of the day, and we randomly ended up at the windmill! I was amazed at how many pubs are actually shut down Monday night, this city really is crap!
Anyway, thanx to everyone who turned out on any of the days, it's truly appreciated, and thanx for all the lovely presents, I was dead chuffed. Thanx especially to Ammy for kinda making everything special, love ya baby!! check out the new 'peterfiles' from Matty and that'll do for now, cheers ...

1st August
Just sitting ba
ck now and waiting for all the complaints to come pouring in ... yes, I finally got around to putting up some photos (they're in the den). I suppose I should apologise to Ant (I'll take it down when you send me a replacement ... hahaha).
Hey ... it's my birthday soon ... gonna have a party on Saturday 9th August ... so be there! Bring drinks and nibbles, anyone wanting to stay the night/weekend, it's not a problem. Will probably go out on the Friday night into town ... lemme know if you're coming for either/both! Only had one excuse so far (Pete the pauper <it means 'no money' Pete>), so everyone else had better turn up!!

25th July 2003
Pete is back this week, and a few of us went out on Wednesday heading for Rainbows which was shut and ending up at the Pheonix (Campbell as was). Pete pulled a girl with big hair and she stayed over at mine. Onto Thursday and we went to the pub quiz, Pete went off to meet girlie, anyway ... me, ammy, matty, lee and michelle got back and noticed that Pete had tidied his room, we figured he was gonna bring his new girl back! Evil laughter ensued and we decided to decorate his room ... girlie magazines and lots of tissues crumpled up with hair-gell on them ... a blow-up alien and handcuffs ... lots of black lingerie and an onion ... massage and baby oil ... and a 'note to self, they use the hole at the front in coventry' ... we thought it would be hilarious when they both came back romantically entwined ready for a sordid night of sexual relief ... and what happened? the bastard stayed at her house .... sheesh!!

22nd July 2003
Hello again .. apparently only Sam and Nick actually read this, so hi to you two! Getting used to working a 4-day week now, just booked this Friday off, which will be the 3rd in a row, gonna go up to Sheffield for a couple of days and hopefully see Matty and Dean. Weekend just gone was good, went down to cornwall to visit Ammy's parents, had a day out at the lost garden of heligan (excellent day, and I strongly recommend everyone to visit the place when they get down that way ... the gardens are incredible, and the 'jungle' section is kinda like being in the amazon or some such place) ... Saturday we went up to Brean and camped overnight, then Sunday we came back via Slimbridge wetlands trust (another wonderful place to visit, we spent 6 hours wandering round, and could happily have spent longer <but they closed> ... so impressed we bought a membership!!). Last night we (me, Ammy, Nick, Sammy, Michelle and Pete) popped around to where Ant is house-sitting and had a few birthday drinks with him - happy birthday Ant!
New stuff on the site is in the poetry, fun and games sections ... enjoy!

9th July 2003
Yet again a long delay between updates, although that's partly due to a holiday in Spain. We had nine days over there, staying with Nick (thank's mate), had a great time mostly on the beach, in the sea, or in a bar. Highlights included a trip to Gibraltar (didn't like the town, but the rock was most impressive), a trip to Granada (awesome and highly recommended, although it was about 40 degrees in the shade) and a midnight beach barbecue and swim on our last night (wine and good company ... and the water was quite warm). Nick's back on Sunday, so no doubt there will be a party next week.
Other news ... well, Pete's moved out, so We now have a guest bedroom, and we can now leave alcohol lying around the house and find it again the following day. It's also looking quite probable that Michelle might move in. Lee has a new job, very high powered, wears a suit every day and keeps nicking my shirts cos he hasn't got any ironed (I presume that's why Michelle has been invited to live in??)
New stuff on the site ... yeah there is, but I'm writing the news first, so I'm not sure what's gonna go on.
By the way ... does anyone actually read this?? Feedback people please. xxxx mark.

9th June 2003
Well, that went a bit pear shaped ... I updated the site and wrote the news below a week ago, and then Ammy stole my laptop before I could upload it! So if you're waiting for replies to e-mails that's also Ammy's fault!! ... anyways ... gonna send this up now before something else happens ... xxxx

2nd June 2003
Hiya again ... put quite a lot on the site recently, including a lot of poetry, with 2 new sections for Ellie and Nichola and 4 new poems from Matty (pretty good ... give them a try). There's also a lot of other new random stuff on the site, so just go and take a look. Apparently Matty has resurrected the 'help desk', but more importantly ... the 'Peterfiles' is back ... yay!!! It's as bad as ever and the spelling may even have deteriorated but hey it's still bloody amusing. Anyone else want a rant about anything, just send it in, and if I like it I'll find space for it ... and that'll do for now, a pub lunch is beckoning ... xxx

2nd May 2003
Okay ... finally got round to an update. Anything to pass a bit of time, this week has been such a drag and I've just about lost the will to live! Ammy flew off to Tenerife last Sunday to play with the big telescope on the mountain every night ( taking photos of an eclipsing binary [and yes I do know what it is] ), she comes back Monday morning at 03:40!! (and yes ... I'm gonna go fetch her from Manchester Airport). Still tomorrow should be a bit of fun, cos' Matty is coming down to stay. Oh, and next month me and Ammy are flying out to Spain to visit Nick ... 20 Quid each way and free accommodation, can't be bad!
New stuff on the site is in the Fun and the Games sections, but also be sure and check out the new links, the toilet training site is brilliant.

10th April 2003
Just like buses ... nothing for ages and then 2 together, amazing! Anyways, made a couple more additions, mostly in the fun pictures section and thought I should perhaps mention it. Some interesting things coming up at home, main one is that Ammy is coming back tomoz. We also have a party on Saturday at my house ... should be fun, and are organising another night out on Monday in Sheffield, obviously I'll probably just drink pop, and behave myself, while the rabble rebel ... but hey, that's how mature I am:) .... more soon - x

8th April 2003
Wow .. April already! Bit slack on the news lately, but hey ho, I'll try and improve .. although I'm not sure if anyone ever reads this anyway? Can't be arsed to tell you all of what's been happening over the past few months, suffice to stay I was very cool, and me and Ammy spent as much time together as possible! Just spent a couple of hours tidying the site and adding quite a lot of new stuff, most of it in the 'Fun' section. And I have a new e-mail buddy by the name of Ellie .. she writes so cute that I've given her a page of her own. Think I'll post this tomorrow and read 'til bed-time ... g'night ...

28th January 2003
Okay .. writing this while I'm waiting for Ammy to take me to the pub, so if it finishes abruptly you'll know why! Made the move into the new house and it's pretty damned cool, drop me an e-mail for an invite to the housewarming. New stuff on the site includes a new name-game (ta Shas), the new bits above, more fun stuff etc. ... check it out ... oops gotta dash ... the pub's calling ...!

2nd January 2003
Happy New Year everybody. Well ... had a great holidays. Got some lovely presents, got wasted a few times, spent every day with Ammy! Superb ... Did New Years Eve with Ammy, Lee, Michelle, Pete, Lala, Ben, Nick, Rachel, Holly, et al. down the Cheylesmore and it was excellent (so I'm told ... my memory is a little hazy). Next big thing on the horizon is moving house in a couple of weeks.
Loadsa stuff new on the site in the Fun, Den, Puzzle and Links sections ... some of it really amusing, and some of it really poignant ... be sure and check it out, and write me with some feedback!!
Until next time .......

08th December 2002
Hiya, so Ammy's birthday went okay. Took her to Highfield Rd, the directors box. Champagne and a 5 course meal, tour of the ground, met some players etc. Photos with David Pipe and Lee Fowler ... photo of us two in the home dugout (hopefully put that on the site sometime soon). Party afterwards and then a family party on Sunday ... all good fun. Some new stuff on the site in the Fun, Games and Den areas ... check it out....L8r

26th November 2002
Hello folks. that's a bit better ... only a week between news entries! I was a bit disappointed with the turnout at the weekend for Ammy!! But there were some valid excuses ... (and some not so valid..) Friday night we just had a quiet drink but then Shelley came up on Saturday which was cool and we went and tracked down Phil, he was in the South Seas watching the Rugger ... we had dinner at Varsity where Am and Shelley started drinking pitchers of cocktails (Woowoo), continued in the Yorkshire Grey (more cocktails) and they were very giggly by 7:00 pm. Then Matty and Grace came down and we played lots of pool!! Unfortunately me and Ammy got beat by Phil and Gracie (how did that happen??). <And when next you see me be sure and ask about the Michelle pool incident ... hilarious!!!> Finished up at Casbah ... went home and drank wine and ordered in Kebabs and Pizza ...
Done a lot of house hunting lately, but may have finally found something I like ... spookily it's in the same road as Shelley's house. Gonna take Ammy round to see it tomoz, and if she likes it then I'll take it ... provided I can move in before I have to leave the current dump! More parties planned for this weekend ... Ammy's B'day is Friday (so get those presents over ... )
New stuff on the site? Yeah, but only a couple of poems ... and that'll do for now! ta ta.

19th November 2002
I was gonna be so regular with the news thing and yet ... it's kinda slow.!! Oh well.
K. so Ammy is having a party Friday and Saturday in Sheffield and then the followin Saturday in Cov! I expect lots of people at both ... so she can appreciate how much she's loved!! News for those in the know ... Lee finally met the parents and it wasn't too bad, although there was one crack about toy-boys! Makes a change from me and Am getting the sarcasm. ... Am's mom did me a 'reading' and apparently i'm a starchild who may not quite fit in on this planet (now that I can appreciate!!!) ... We can't get a hold of Phil and we're getting worried!! ... Ian never calls or writes ... Matty wants me to run a D&D game and I ain't had time to revise yet ... gotta build ammy a puter for her b'day and ain't started yet! ... still haven't got a new house and it's kinda depressing ... Pete's still working!!! ..
New on the site: Well there are a few bits, but one is titled 'Vaginitis' ... gotta be worth a look!
I also had my first new entry in ages for the 'starwars' game (ta dave) ... if you haven't tried it then please send me your names!.
Err ... one for our American friends in GWB Jr ... anyone in USA wanna defend this dick-head then please write!!
There's also a hip-hop dictionary curtacy of Ben (y'know .. lala's 'friend' ... 'plumbing terrorist!!' ... (remind me never to invite him to another party))!!!

And there's other new stuff too!
.......and I think that'll do ......

6th November 2002
Hello chucks ... so, did you get the e-mail invite to Ammy's parties?? (obviously this only applies to peeps that we know) anyway ... get to Sheffield for the weekend 22nd 23rd November ... guaranteed good time. (And pete promises no stolen signs). <and no getting thrown out of clubs> .... yeah right! we'll see ...
A few new bits to the site, but u can find them yourselves ... and that'll do ... ring me if you wanna come to the parties, and e-mail me if you wanna be added to my joke-mail list! ... soon ... mark:)

28th October 2002
Heyup back in Cov for a while ... doing a bit with the site, playing with a little digicam, and generally dossing. Made a few changes to the site and added a few pieces, check the fun pages, the den, and the links. (I even had an addition for the star-wars page!!). Funny, it's quiet on the e-mail with very little material coming in for inclusion ... so do something! It's either send me stuff or I start putting digital pictures of the posse up!!! (I have some naked ones of Pete .. you've been warned!!). Haven't seen Ammy in 11 hours and 28 minutes ... and I'm getting depressed ... hey ho ... and I'm sober ... how bad does it get!!! Okay I'm waffling ... done

27th September 2002
I suppose if I'm gonna put dates to these then I'll have to update the news a tad more regularly .. oh well. Me and Ammy had a great couple of weeks in the great outdoors. First week was spent down in Cornwall and Devon, we visited: Padstow, Clovelly, Bude, Eden Project, Tintagel, Dartmoor, Bodmin Moor, Exmoor, Westward Ho, Widemouth, Woolacombe and other places ... camping at 3 different sites. We even had a swim in the sea. I especially liked the hike on Dartmoor ... along the river and back via the moor, 16+ miles.
Then the second week we spent a few days up in the Lake District. I love the Lake District, and it seems that Ammy feels the same way! We had some lovely walks, culminating in a circular walk around Buttermere. We went up the side of Sourmilk Gill and then did the peaks of Red Pike, High Style, High Crag and Seat ... awesome.
We had excellent weather throughout the 2 weeks, kinda lucky.
Currently we're both in Sheffield, having a boozy freshers week and theoretically we're meeting Matty tonight for beer and pool (I think we can safely assume that I won ... )
New stuff on the site in the fun section ... The Stella awards will flaberghast you, and the nice letter will warm the cockles of your heart! C soon.

Hey up ... mmmm, must start putting dates to these entries ... aah well, I'll do it next time. Last update before I take a couple of weeks off, me and Ammy are heading away for a camping trip! Not sure exactly where yet, we'll see what the weather is doing over the weekend. There's a host of new stuff on the site, including lots in the Fun section. But as I can't remember everything I've put up it's probably best if you just take a wander around the site. See everyone in a couple of weeks (not necessarily figuratively).

Okay ... so we're up and running on the Net now ... counters going a bit slowly at the moment, but I'm sure it will start moving faster once word gets around (and once I put in a link from 'Serendipity'). Anyways ... just put up a new top ten, and it might be useful for all you bachelor boys and girls out there, it's called: Top Ten reasons to have SEX ... check it out. I've also put up the insults page I used to have ... due to popular demand ... and there's a new piece in the Den that's kinda sweet (thank's Janine).

Y'know ... I wrote the below months ago ... and I still haven't published this yet ... sheesh. So I'm gonna saunter down to a phone line now (22nd May 2002) and register the site. The good news is that I've got a lot more new stuff during the last couple of months (The other good news is that Ammy is on a train heading to Coventry ...Yeah) and the bad news is that it's still not fully finished (for instance I only realised today that I had forgotten a 'Links' page) ... anyway ... tata 4 now.

Hello and welcome to the new site ... a new look and a new name (but some of the old content). The good news is that I intend to update this one rather more regularly. The bad news is that ... errr ... actually there is no bad news yet. Spooky. Still, it's early days ... Be sure to check out the older stuff, peterfiles and news (above .. durr ..).
The format has changed, I decided to lose the flash navigation (after complaints from luddites that didn't have the flash plug-ins). There's quite a lot of new stuff in the 'Fun' section, some new poems from me, and errr ... other 'new' stuff that I forget where I put ...
For those who are interested:
Well ... I'm still commuting between Sheffield and Coventry (I hate every minute that me and Ammy are apart! (Anybody wanting a definition of true love should talk to either me or Ammy)... I'm renting a house down in darkest Cheylesmore (Pete is a semi-permanent lodger <I've called in Rent-a-Kill, but they reckon they can't shift him ... apparently he's an incurable STD [Shambolic Total Disaster] ... oh, and he's still unemployed [shitty doleite] ... I just promised Pete that I'd apologise if he ever gets a job ... watch this space [hahahahaha] ... > still, he's moderately clean and I only have to walk him once a day).
I've left the helpdesk up coz Matty enjoys it so much ... he's still doing alright `and he may just have the second nicest girlfriend in the world ... so please feel free to play (above).
