Human blood travels 60,000 miles (96,540 km) per day on its journey through the body

Twenty-six astronauts have reported seeing UFOs
while in orbit around the Earth.

On July 20th 1969, as commander of the Apollo 11 Lunar Module, Neil Armstrong was the first person to set foot on the moon. His first words after stepping on the moon, "That's one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind," were televised to Earth and heard by millions.

But just before he reentered the lander, he made the enigmatic remark: "Good luck, Mr Gorsky."
Many people at NASA thought it was a casual remark concerning some rival Soviet cosmonaught. However, upon checking, there was no Gorsky in either the Russian or American space programs.

Over the years many people questionned Armstrong as to what the "Good luck, Mr Gorsky" statement meant, but Armstrong always just smiled.

On July 5, 1995, in Tampa Bay, Florida, while answering questions foloowing a speech, a reporter brought up the 26 year old question to Armstrong. This time he finally responded. Mr Gorsky had died, so Neil Armstrong felt he could answer the question.

In 1938 when he was a kid in a small mid-western town, he was playing baseball with a friend in the back yard. His friend hit the ball, which landed in his neighbours backyard by the bedroom window. His neighbours were Mr and Mrs Gorsky. As he leaned down to pick up the ball, young Armstrong heard Mrs Gorsky shouting at Mr Gorsky.

"Oral Sex! You want oral sex!!? You'll get oral sex when the kid next door walks on the moon!"

TRUE STORY.

If you are a regular traveller on the London Underground, here are some facts which you are going to wish you hadn't read.

During Autumn of 2000, a team of scientists at the Department of
Forensics at University College London removed a row of passenger seats from a Central Line tube carriage for analysis into cleanliness. Despite London Underground's claim that the interior of their trains are cleaned on a regular basis, the scientists made some alarming discoveries.

The analysis was broken down. This is what was found on the surface of the seats:

· 4 types of hair sample (human, mouse, rat, dog)
· 7 types of insect (mostly fleas, mostly alive)
· vomit originating from at least 9 separate people
· human urine originating from at least 4 separate people
· human excrement
· rodent excrement
· human semen

When the seats were taken apart, they found:

· the remains of 6 mice
· the remains of 2 large rats
. 1 previously unheard of fungus

It is estimated that by holding one of the armrests, you are transferring, to your body, the natural oils and sweat from as many as 400 different people.

It is estimated that it is generally healthier to smoke five cigarettes a day than to travel for one hour a day on the London Underground.

It is far more hygienic to wipe your hand on the inside of a recently flushed toilet bowl before eating, than to wipe your hand on a London Underground seat before eating.

It is estimated that, within London, more work sick-days are taken because of bugs picked up whilst travelling on the London Underground than for any other reason (including alcohol).

Did you know, in the mighty British Navy at the time of Empire building, every sailing ship had cannon (the plural of cannon) for protection. Cannon of the times required round iron cannonballs. A ship's master wanted to store the cannonballs such that they could be available for instant use when needed, but in a manner that would not let them roll around the gun deck.
The solution devised was to stack them up in a square-based pyramid next to the cannon. The top level of the stack had one ball, the next level down had three, the next had nine, the next had sixteen, and so on. Four levels would provide a stack of 30 cannonballs. The only real problem was how to keep the bottom level from sliding out from under the weight of the higher levels. To do this, they devised a small brass plate referred to as a "brass monkey," with one rounded indentation for each cannonball in the bottom layer.
Brass was used because the cannonballs wouldn't rust on the brass monkey, but would rust on an iron one. When temperature falls, brass contracts faster than iron. As it got cold on the gun decks, the indentations in the brass monkey would get smaller than the iron cannonballs they were holding.
If the temperature got cold enough, the bottom layer of cannonballs would pop out of the indentations, spilling the entire pyramid over the deck.
Thus it was, quite literally, "cold enough to freeze the balls off a brass monkey."

The five most stolen items in a drugstore are batteries, cosmetics, film, sunglasses, and, get this, Preparation H.
Apparently people are just too embarrassed to purchase the last item. And, just in case you are curious, one of Preparation H's main ingredient is shark liver oil. The oil not only helps shrink hemorrhoids, but will shrink any tissue. As a result, many older women in Florida use the stuff to help reduce the appearance of wrinkles!
